New Year's Eve

Hello guys!

It's the last day of 2014!! Can't believe this year is already over. I would love to talk about all the great things that happened this year, but besides my graduation my year was pretty dull.

But maybe next year will be more spectacular! I'm positive about that!

I'm so sorry that I didn't blog as much as I wanted to this month /sighs. There was actually a blog post about all the things I did in December, but my Photoshop is broken or doesn't work properly anymore. So I wasn't able to edit the pictures. If you're interested I'll try and make photoshop work again, so I can finish the post.

But now on to my New Year's Resolutions!

I know, this is just another typical post, but I still want to share them with you.

Blogmas Day 04: Empty November/December

Hi guys ♥

this is a quick post, actually not Christmas-related, but still haha.
It's the Empty tag!
There are actually just three things that are empty. Not much haha.

empty december

There you go!
The first one is my night moisturizer. The one on the pic is not the empty one, it's a new one haha. There you can already see that I (my mum) rebought it.
It is the Weleda Almond Soothing Natural Facial Cream. My mother originally bought it for herself but she didn't really like it, so she gave to me to use it up and I love it! I had a few blemishes in my face and since I use this cream almost all have vanished! (I don't know if it's really due to the cream though... but I guess so.)

Next is an oil leave-in treatment. You use it after you showered/washed your hair. I'm not sure yet if I will buy this one again, because I always want to try new things on my hair. But it was not bad, I'm just never happy with the products I use for my hair.

The last product I used up is a spray leave-in conditioner. I had it for a VERY long time and rarely used it but now it's finally empty. And in the end, it turned out to be pretty good too.
My hair gets easily static, but when I used this it was much better!
But I already told you, I love to try new things for my hair. So I'll probably try something different.

What did you use up this month? Do you have any good recommendations for hair products I could use? (I got thin but curly hair...)

Blogmas Day 03: What I love most about Winter...

Can you guess it?? Can you? Can you?????

Here's a hint: It's white and soft and wet. And gorgeous. And fun.
If you didn't know what I was talking about before, now you do. (I hope you do haha)

It is......

S N O W !!

The picture has been taken on Christmas Eve two years ago. The last White Christmas I had /cries. My biggest wish for Christmas is always snow.
Of course, after a few weeks of nothing else BUT snow I'm happy when it's starting to melt but all the other times I cry tears of joy when I see snowflakes.
And today there were the first real snowflakes in at least 1,5 (?) years that I've seen!! They melted immediately but still: SNOWFLAKES!
I hope there'll be more snow in the next few days/weeks and that the snow will stay for some time ♥

By the way, I really can't imagine what life is like when you've never seen a single snowflake. Seriously, tell me!! I also wonder how people in e.g. Australia can spend Christmas at 30°C outside. I mean... Christmas in Summer! Whaaaaat??
But they're probably wondering how we spend Christmas during winter, avoiding to go outside because it's freezing cold.
Well, last year it was around 20°C in Germany I think anD IT FUCKING SUCKED! Too damn hot!
Fucking Global Warming! Screwing up my White Christmas!

I hope you love snow just as much as I do ♥
Tell me about the weather during Christmas time where you live! :)

xx

PS: Yeah I know, always complaining about the weather: "too hot" "ugh too cold"... But I'm German. I'm born to complain about things! (I'm also very good at it haha)

Blogmas Day 02: Christmas Mixtape

DAY 02 is already here!

This is probably my favourite part of the time before Christmas! MUSIC!!

I love Christmas music and I listen to it A LOT, I usually start listening to it in November already haha.
So here is a compilation of my favourite Christmas Songs, and you should definitely listen to them (on spotify, youtube, idk where you can find them... I wasn't able to give you a link to the whole mixtape because I don't have all of the songs on my computer /cries. I'm a failure haha.)

What are your favourite Christmas songs? Do you have a Christmas playlist? Let me know ♥

Blogmas Day 01: Wishlist

This is the first post of Blogmas! YAY. And it's one very important thing: My Christmas Wishlist

I love Wishlists. Writing and reading them!
Of course Christmas is about giving and about love. But aren't we all a little materialistic? So, here's my little materialistic wishlist haha.

This is my Christmas Wishlist, and also on the wishlist is pretty much everything except the Chanel Poudre Universelle Libre from this post too.

What's on your List? I'd love to know!

Struggle: What To Wear

Hi ♪

hope you're all doing great!

For today's topic I have to explain two things:

  1. There is a "Christmas party" in my old school every year, hosted by the year that graduates next, and everyone who wants to come can do so. You get food and drinks and meet old friends, teachers, etc.
  2. You have to wear formal clothes

You might guess that I'm totally looking forward going there. Yes, indeed I am.
But I have no idea what I should wear.

Last year, I had the exact same problem. I went to several shops but didn't find a dress and I didn't find anything on the internet either, that was not too expensive.
But luckily, after weeks, I found a pretty on Asos.

That was my outfit last year:

Excuse the bad quality and bad posing haha. And the background. That was in the school's library.

You see, I could wear this dress again this year. But I just don't want to. This event is a rare opportunity to dress up fancy.

I thought about a few things I would like to wear this year. After some thinking and looking through Pinterest, I came up with three ideas.

Sequin Dress

They look so glamorous and I am totally in love with all the glitter. But I can't find a single sequin dress in the stores in town. And also not on the internet.
The only sequin/glitter dresses I can find are 100€+
Boo!

Jumpsuit

found on Pinterest

Jumpsuits are gorgeous. And I'm tall, so they will probably suit me. But I am VERY tall and jumpsuits without high heels aren't that gorgeous. So I'm not sure about this one...

Sequin Leggings/Sequin Skirt

found on Pinterest

Well... I probably can't have afford a sequin dress, but a skirt or a leggings! And you can combine them perfectly with a cute top and nice shoes.
This is my favourite alternative at the moment, I'll start looking for skirts and leggings next week. And I also need a top, I think the peplum top looks amazing with the leggings!

What do you think? Do you have any other suggestions? I'm sorta desperate haha.

Wishlist:November

Hello there ♥

how are you all doing? I'm quite good. I've been really busy lately, because work and cheerleading is taking LOTS of time. But here is a brand new post!
I'm so happy it's November! It's just 15 days left till my birthday!

So here is my November Wishlist (not what I want for my birthday, just things I would love to buy/have in general.):

  • Chanel Poudre Universelle Libre
  • Urban Decay's Naked Basics 2
  • CDs/Albums: The Pierces - Creation, Gerard Way - Hesitant Alien
  • Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation
  • A DSLR camera
  • Jeans (it's such a pain in the ass to find jeans in my size. There are very few perks in being 6' tall)
  • The Friends Blu-Ray box (DVD would be fine too. I just need this box!!!)
  • Some other DVDs/Blu-Rays

What is on your wishlist this month? Let me know!

This is Halloween

Hello there cutiepumpkins ♥

This post is dedicated to one of my favourite holidays (although it is no official holiday in Germany): HALLOWEEN

To be honest, Halloween sucks in Germany. There are a few kids who go trick-or-treating and there are also some parties where you can show up in a costume but I think 90% of the people assume that Halloween is all about scary and bloody costumes.
And it's just not as big as in the US. And the older (and  more conservative) people are sorta annoyed by it I think.

Now you may wonder why I love it so much. Actually, I'm wondering too.
I guess I've been influenced by so many things that I just started loving it more and more, even if my last Halloweens all sucked (and this year's will probably suck too)

The first thing that comes to my mind when I think about Halloween are three things:

  1. The actual Halloween-movies, the Michael Myers-ones. I've only seen one of them. on Halloween. when I was like 12. And damn, Michael Myers still scares the shit outta me! (As do so many other scary people. I'm so easily scared!!)
  2. Hocus Pocus. Which I've seen as a kid and it was fucking scary, too! Haha. Yup, I've always been easily scared and I still am /criesinacorner
  3. Tim Burton! His movies are cute AND dark, which is like the best combo ever! I have not seen all of his movies, but they are all somewhat Halloween-related or at least they all fit Halloween.
And of those three things, I only love two. (Because Hocus Pocus isn't so scary now. Halloween (movie) still is.)

There is another thing Halloween-related I love. Probably none of you will no this band, but they're really cute!

The Candy Spooky Theater is a Japanese band. I can't explain this band properly. You just have to see them. And hear them.

What are your favourite Halloween movies and Halloween songs?

Empty: September/October

Hello ♥

this is the first time I will do the "Empty Tag". I'd be excited... but my empty stuff isn't that exciting to be honest haha.

This time I only collected a few things I used up, I'm sorry. Hopefully there will be more next time! (I want to post about this every month, but of  course this is also depending on what and how many things are empty. We'll see!)

So here we go:

This was my everyday cleansing milk. It does its job and I probably will rebuy it because it's handy for when you travel.
At home I usually use another one, but that was empty, too haha.

I really love this mascara! It's not that expensive (~7 €) and it defines the eyelashes perfectly and gives a lot of volumes to them. It's very probable that I'll rebuy this one, so I can use it as an everyday mascara (so I will use my Lancôme one for "special" events).

This is a deep conditioner. It is all natural and when I first used it I was kinda surprised of the consistency because it was white and very creamy. It was the first organic/natural cosmetics product I bought, before I was used to the gel-like cosistency.
But it is actually a pretty good conditioner and it smells like roses, but I still bought another one for the next time, because I like to try out new things on my hair. (My hair is very complicated and I'm never fully satisfied, so I like to try new things). But the new deep conditioner I bought is also all natural (I want to start using only natural things, at least on my hair and maybe my face.)

I rebought this peeling a few days ago. It is pretty rough as a peeling because it's sea salt but I like that. I have another body peeling which is very soft compared to this one, so I only use it on sensitive areas, whereas I use the sea salt peeling on the other areas (e.g. legs)

This is my daily moisturizer and I obviously rebought this. My beautician recommended this to me, so I stick with it. I use another one for nights, but as soon as it's empty I will use this tea tree moisturizer day and night.

Sooo this is it. No, actually it isn't. I just took a shower and my conditioner is now empty and the creme I use on spots and zits is also empty! Did rebuy both by the way haha.

What did you use up this month (/last month)? Let me know!

xx

Edit: I thought I bought the creme but I actually didn't haha. But I have another zinc ointment so everything's fine! Zinc ointment works so well on zits!

Glamour Shopping Week: Haul

Guess what I did this week except from work?
Right! I went shopping! (and I went to Lady Gaga's ARTrave it was so good omg seriously it AMAZING! I love her even more now. And damn, she got one fine ass!!!)

This week was the Glamour Shopping Week! That means that various stores (e.g. H&M, Zara, Forever 21, etc.) give some sort of discount (mostly 20%) or you will get something special when you show them the Shopping Card.
There is only one day left and I still need to buy so many things /cries. I guess I won't be able to buy everything I want/need.

But for now, let me show you what I bought:

Bra by Lascana

finally some Chelsea Boots!!!

Skirt, Top and overknee socks by H&M

Scarf by Pieces

Blush and Lipstick by Kiko. The lipstick is ffrom the "Ace of Diamond" edition, as you can read.
The blush is a red/brown colour and the lipstick is a light pink/coral colour.

That's it. Maybe I'll go shopping one last time tomorrow but I don't know yet.
This weekend will be pretty boring, everyone is out of "town" (i.e. village) and there is not much I can do here. I'm also getting sick yay.

see you soon

The Struggle: Buying a new Bag

Hi guys.

First of all, I want to apologize for not really posting regularly but I started working last Wednesday and since then I've been very busy and I didn't figure out yet how to do both, blogging and working. (I'm exhausted after work and there is always something to do after work. So again, sorry!)

Well.
Did you ever want to buy anything new but you everything you saw did not quite match with what you got in mind? Welcome to my life!

I need a new bag (i.e. I want to have a new one haha) but there's something wrong with every bag I see.
I want something like a tote bag, but I also want a new shoulder bag ...

Because I can't show you what exactly I want, I wanted to show you the bags I own (and the bags my mother owns that I use).

these are "my" three shoulder bags. (Actually the black one is the only that is truly mine haha. but the only purpose I use this for is when I go clubbing.)
I sometimes use the brown one because there is much storage space in there, the Gucci bag is pretty small but also does its job when I go out (and my purse fits perfectly in it)

This is the biggest bag I own. I use this when I have to carry a lot of stuff (obviously)

I love the design of this one but opening it is very difficult when you're in a hurry so I use it rarely

This is my everyday bag... I  bought in Japan in Shibuya 109, but it is now two years old and I really want to have a new everyday bag. I love this one, but it's definitely time.

Do you have any recommendations for a bag I should own? (Except the Chanel 2.55 Flap Bag /criesinacorner)

Fall / Winter Movies 2014

Hello there.

As you may have noticed, I love movies and I love going to the cinema, so this post is dedicated to the upcoming movies this fall and winter. (I'm not sure if any of these were already in cinemas in the US or when they will be in cinemas... and most of them will only be in cinemas in Germany in 2015 unfortunately /cries)

So here is a list of the most important movies for me. (There is no particular order)

The Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies

Okay, if I said there was no particular order I lied. But after this, there really is no particular order, I promise haha.
I can't wait for this any longer! When I watched the trailer I almost started crying because it was so emotional and after BOTFA there will be no more The Hobbit/LOTR movie and it all will end now and I am so incredibly sad but also so excited oh my god. TOO MANY FEELS!

Interstellar

I'm still not sure what to think of this one... One the one hand it is a Chris Nolan movie, which normally means that it will be awesome, on the other hand I didn't really like the trailer...
Therefore I am looking forward to watching this. I just have no idea what to expect haha.

Mockingjay Part 1

I liked the first part of the book but after I read the whole book I started hating it. And to be honest, I didn't like the trailer either and I don't even know why. Of course, I will watch it and maybe hopefully it will be good... but I am very skeptical. Also because in my opinion the whole book would've easily fit in ONE movie. But it seems like it's "cool" to split every fucking last book of a series in two movies. I am seriously pissed off about this.

Gone Girl

I already said in a post some time ago that I didn't like the trailer... But I have the feeling that everyone is excited about this movie and therefore I want to see it too.
Thing is, I haven't read the book yet and the movie is coming to cinema this Thursday already ... Well, you see the problem, don't you?
Either I will marathon read this or I won't be able to see this in cinema... /cries.

The Judge

Who doesn't love Robert Downey Jr? When I first saw the trailer of this movie I teared up and almost cried, that's when I knew I had to watch it. Also because we get to see RDJ in a more serious role (compared to Tony Stark for example haha).
I recently read that the audience at the Toronto Film Festival was a little disappointed of it...
Well, I will be able to rate this after I've seen it.

There are actually more movies I would love to watch for example The Theory of Everything, The Imitation Game, Foxcatcher, Nightcrawler or Birdwing. These are probably the ones who will definitely get some of the "big" Oscar nominations. But I think all of these will be in theaters in Germany in 2015 /sighs.
I am planning to go to the cinema as often as possible and I will write about what I think.

What do you want to watch this Fall/Winter?

Cheek to Cheek

I love Lady Gaga since The Fame Monster and I was sad to hear that people did not like Artpop or thought it was bad. I love Artpop, although I still think The Fame Monster was Gaga's best album. I could talk about why I think people think she is crazy and why they don't appreciate her music anymore (which are only guesses of course. I don't understand those people, I love Gaga haha) but I don't want to do that.

Her latest album, the collaboration with Tony Bennett, Cheek to Cheek was released this week and let me tell you one thing: It's GREAT!

Jazz is usually not the genre I listen to a lot, not because I don't like it, rather because I don't know much about it. I don't know the big Jazz artists and singers, so I never knew where to start with Jazz.
Now there is Cheek to Cheek, an album full of great and famous songs. I read that the intention was to introduce Jazz to a younger audience and they definitely achieved this. And I really hope that more young people will give this a try, because Jazz is amazing.

Gaga has the perfect husky voice and it fits perfectly with Tony Bennett's, whose voice is also kind of deep and a little husky.
They did such an amazing job with this album and I love it! Especially the songs Anything Goes, Cheek to Cheek, Firefly and It Don't Mean A Thing (If It Ain't Got That Swing).

If you're open to new music and you haven't listened to Jazz that much so far, you should definitely give it a try. And if you already like Jazz, give it a try too haha.

Hello Autumn

Finally it is autumn again! I love autumn! Or fall... or whatever you call it. (We say "Herbst" in Germany)

I can't really choose what my favourite season is, because I love every season. But autumn is sorta special to me.
You get to wear nice clothes and cozy sweaters, the leaves turn yellow and red and you can drink tea all day long (I do this all year round but still haha).
Last year I missed my chance to try Starbucks' Pumpkin Spice Latte but this year I'm definitely going to get some! And I want to try to cook pumpkin soup.
Of course I am also looking forward to buy new make-up items fitting the season (e.g. plum lipstick!) and new clothes.

Also there are a lot of events in autumn which I am excited about!!

The Glamour Shopping Week from Saturday to next Saturday - I'm going to buy new shoes, a scarf and maybe some other things too. I will show you then!

Halloween on 31 Oct. - I love love love Halloween and I am so excited about it every year but then I'm disappointed because in Germany Halloween is boring and no one really celebrates it the way they do in the US /cries.

My Birthday on 22 Nov. - I love having birthday and I love getting presents haha. And since I'm turning I want to celebrate it... but I don't know how yet.

And I will probably visit a friend in France this autumn.

I'm not quite sure how to go on with blogging when I start to work full-time (on 1 Oct.), because besides working full-time I also have cheerleading practice 5 times a week, but I definitely will keep blogging! But I will have plan it better haha.

xx

Edit: OMG I totally forgot about one event!!!
Lady Gaga's artRAVE: The Artpop Ball on 7 Oct. !!! I am so so excited for this, finally I get to see her live!

Favourite TV Shows

I recently started making lists of my favourite books, movies, etc. and also of my favourites on TV.
Especially in the last time there are more and more awesome, new shows but I have only seen few of them unfortunately. I also have a list of my To-Watch shows but first: my favourites!
Since I can't name all of them in one post, these are my Top 5 (in no particular order)

Let's start:
I just love Doctor Who. But I already said in this post that I am disappointed of Moffat as the showrunner.
I loved Christopher Ecclestone and David Tennant as Nine and Ten, I also like Matt Smith's Doctor but since the story of Season 5-7 is too confusing for me, I didn't enjoy it as much.
But I already LOVE Peter Capaldi!!! (And the last episode, "Listen", was great!)

One Day, I was randomly browsing tumblr when this show popped up on my dashboard.
I have seen Red Dragon and half of Silence of the Lambs and since then I always thought Hannibal Lecter was fascinating so it was obvious that I had to watch this, too.
And I immediately loved it!
I mean, I'm very easily scared but I still forced myself to keep watching and that's totally worth it!
Can't wait for Season 3 !!!

If you say you don't like Friends, I can't be friends with you! Just kidding.
But seriously, this is one of the funniest shows ever! I love everything about it.
And now let's celebrate the 20th anniversary of Friends! ♥
(The fact that it started when I wasn't even born yet doesn't change anything! Yay for the 90s!)

I don't know what to say about this ...
Four best friends in New York, fashion, sex, love....
Well, I just have to love it, don't I?

This one is almost as obvious as SATC, I guess, since Martin Freeman is the protagonist...
Fargo is very funny but also SO THRILLING.
I'm currently at episode 5 or 6, I definitely have to watch the rest of it soon!!

Soooo these are five of my favourite TV shows. I know, some of them are over already, but that doesn't matter.
Some other shows I love watching are Law & Order, How I Met Your Mother, Castle and so many others....

Tell me about your favourite TV shows!
